1. Who can earn referral fees?
Only those individuals who have been selected by Legacies & Memories and have entered into a written independent contractor agreement with us are eligible to earn referral fees.

2. If I am one of your Referral Executives, do I receive a referral fee when I give you names of people and companies that I think might be interested in having a book written?
No. There is a simple process and procedure to follow. This includes written documentation when you arrange for us to meet with the potential client you have identified. The procedure is designed to ensure you are credited with and will receive the referral fees that you earn.

3. When do I earn a referral fee?
You earn a referral fee when the person you referred signs a book contract with us.

4. What types of people are selected to be Referral Executives for Legacies & Memories?
Individuals who are honest and ethical, and believe that some of the people in their network of professional and personal contacts could be potential clients for us. Among those who can excel as Referral Executives are current or retired sales professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, Realtors, and insurance sales professionals.

5. Will this interfere with my current work or profession?
No. Many people supplement their income with part-time work outside their profession.

6. How much of my time will this take?
It is up to you as to how much time and effort you want to put into it. However, we are only interested in individuals who are serious about making an effort and serious about wanting to supplement their income.

7. Do I have to buy materials or make any investment?
No. We provide brochures and even sample books for you to show potential clients.

8. Does this involve selling?
No. There is no selling required. Your role is to identify potential clients for us and arrange for us to meet with them because they want to learn more about us and they have expressed interest in having us write and produce their book. We are responsible for sales and the contracts.

9. How much can I earn?
The amount of each referral fee is a generous 10 percent of the total dollar amount of the book contract between Legacies & Memories and the client you refer. Because our book contracts for our comprehensive writing and publishing services have historically ranged from about $26,000 to $85,000 and up – depending on the type of book – that means you have an opportunity to earn substantial referral fees as a percentage of those contract totals. For example, on a $26,000 book contract, you would earn $2,600, which is 10 percent.

Your search for potential clients for us would be focused on high net-worth businesses, families and individuals who recognize and appreciate the value of history and the importance of capturing and preserving it for their business or their family.
