Legacies & Memories, a Florida-based company that writes and publishes customized books for businesses and families, is a 2008 Axiom Business Book Award winner for the corporate history book, A Legacy of Trust: The Story of FCCI.
The 2008 Axiom Awards honor the authors and publishers of the best business titles of 2007.
The national/international awards contest was sponsored by Inc. magazine; Jenkins Group (book publishing and marketing services company); and Padilla Speer Beardsley (public relations firm in Manhattan).
Judging for the book awards was based on content, originality, design, and production quality, with emphasis on innovation and creativity.
A Legacy of Trust: The Story of FCCI won a bronze medal in the category of Branding (corporate history, anniversary, promo).
The FCCI book chronicles the history of a Sarasota, Florida-based company founded in 1959 when a group of building contractors needed a better way to obtain workers’ compensation insurance. Today, FCCI Insurance Group provides a full line of commercial insurance and has revenues of more than half a billion dollars. It is one of the largest companies in Florida and the Southeast.
